Brooke's Birthday

So I finally remembered to bring the memory card with me to work so here are some pics from Brooke's 3rd birthday. Weird I know, but she is amazing!!! She's not a baby anymore though just look at her face. Sad..... I know what everyone will say and I don't want to hear it-babies are not on the agenda for awhile so nobody mention it!! LOL Anyway enjoy!!!!!

I Matter!!!!

Okay. So lately (more like the last year or so) I have been contemplating everything. And I won't go into specifics because the whole world doesn't need to know everything, but I will say that I have a need to be happy with MYSELF. I may be happy in life in general but how many of us are truly happy with ourselves???. So I am working on that. Like my good friend said weight is just a number! Therefore anybody can be happy no matter what their weight number is as long as they feel good about themselves inside. It's the interior beauty that truly counts!!!! And that is why I am working on this and I am also going to put this saying on my mirror or somewhere convenient like that, "How do I expect everyone else to feel good about me if I don't feel good about myself?" Okay so here is my list so far.....

1- Work on my anger, patience, and short comings (I have been working on my temperment and patience for a few months but still have lots of room for improvement)

2- Learn how to fully take a compliment for what it is instead of rationalizing it down to nothing!

3- What ANYone else thinks of me doesn't matter!!! I am me and I should be happy with who I am. Besides there is always somebody who loves me unconditionally so I can always turn to Him!!!!

4-To tell myself repeatedly everyday that I am smart, beautiful, bold, sarcastically humorous, Great with sensitivity, nurturing, a good mom, a good and patient wife, caring, lovable, and courageous... I need to make myself believe they are all true!!

5- Work on being a better mother and wife and friend!!!

6- Work on my attitude!!!!

7- Put myself in Mike's shoes more often!

The more I think of I will try to remember to write it down and add to this list. And thank you to Nancy!!! You are a great friend, I don't know how I managed for so long without you!!!! We are going to do this and be completely happy with ourselves and show everyone our confidence!!
Ok so I know I have been neglectful. Sorry, but the wedding is over and it turned out good!! Here are a few pics from there.. Enjoy!!!!

Other than the chain from the swing in Ryan's face this was a good pic

So I have been wanting to cut my hair for weeks but have wanted to wait until it got closer to Shilo's Wedding, so it wouldn't grow too fast before then, so last night Brooke and I chopped our hair, well she got a trimming and I really chopped my hair. I love it! It is a very different look for me, but I am really liking it, but we'll see in a week if I still like it (it always happens). Mike of course didn't say anything about it beyond nodding his head and commenting this morning by kissing my head and saying "short hair". Men! I swear, how hard is it to give a compliment?! Anyway, tomorrow we (Brooke and I for sure) are going up to spend time with my family in Salina. The Mickelsen side wants "Everybody" there for Grandma and Grandpa, however we all know (at least those sensible enough) that WONT happen. (Sorry If I offend, only telling the truth.) It is hard to get families together, but even though it is Mother's Day Weekend, it really is not a good weekend to be doing this. But we're going to see my grandparents, cause Lord only knows how long they have left with us on earth! All you mother's out there that read this Happy Mother's Day!!! (even if you don't have your child with you or just feel like a mother to those kids around you, you probably are one in their eyes some way)!! And thank you to all those mother's out there who have helped me in my life by way of example, friendship, love, support, guidance, etc. I have appreciated it more than you'll know, It has helped shaped me into who I am today!
