My Sweet Husband
I just have to write about this... since losing my job I have been extremely stressed. As much as I try not to stress about our situation it is always in the back of my mind. Well it has been really bad lately whereas more things have come to light.... and for those that know me really well know that when I stress I make myself sick. Too much stress leaves me extremely sick. I keep myself moving forward as much as possible but I am miserable. I haven't been like that for quite awhile well over a year. Well I have been that sick this week. Brooke and I went shopping yesterday and we came home after Mike was home from work. He helped me put things away then was on the phone. I had no idea what he was doing until he called his mom and asked if they would watch Brooke last night. He got off and I asked what we were doing and he said "I am taking you on a date!" I was completely shocked. Knowing my husband that is extremely rare! Especially when we don't have money. Well he hurried and showered and got ready. He had it all planned. He took me to a newer Mexican resteraunt in Cedar Lupita's (which is so yummy by the way). A friend had taken him there when they went after parts for a truck. Ever since he has been wanting to take me. He also took me to a movie (Bride Wars). I just wanted to cry! It was definately what I needed. And I was even happier that my husband thought of it for me! At times like that I definately do not know what I'd do without him. He is so patient and kind with me. So willing to keep Brooke at bay when I need rest. He is doing everything he can right now and I thank him for it. He can amazingly stay calm when I cannot fathom it! Thank you Michael I love you!
Time.....Brooke
Well Brooke has absolutely loved having me home all the time. I admit it has been nice other than the stress. But we have baked (which Michael loves), played barbies, nintendo's, drawn (she draws pictures of everyone and I draw houses), colored, and read lots and lots of books (she is into reading a lot again... which I think is great other than it hurts my throat after awhile), cleaned, and watched movies. It is rather hilarious. Last Saturday Mike was going to replace a cluth and do other litle things on a truck of some farmers, and Brooke woke up and right away wanted to play barbies. My thoughtful husband made plans with his mom to have Brooke go over there and play with her cousins. Which left me to a Saturday alone with very minimal chores around the house to do. I was ecstatic!! It was nice after a week long with a very active 3 1/2 year old. I relaxed most of the day doing a little laundry and dishes until closer to late afternoon. Which I took advantage of the sun, warmth, and melted snow to clean up the backyard. Our dogs like to tear up everything. They had made a mess of anything they could get their teeth on. Dang dogs! They also like drag Brooke's toys out and chew on them. I decided to put everything into the shed. Poor Brooke, she used to take her lawn mower and mow the snow, now I don't know what she'll do for fun.... Lol... All in all it has been fun.

I figured I better update, since it has been awhile. There is basically only one thing that has really changed in our lives. And this is good in a lot of ways but not so good in one way...finances. Brooke is still about the same only more ecstatic to be staying home with mom more. I have been cut down to 2 days a week as long as they need me at work. For quite awhile now I have really not had that much to do and my boss has been taking more things on herself instead of having me do as was the norm. So I seen this coming but it was still a huge shock to go from a steady job with pretty stead income to everything shaky.
Anyway, we haven't really decided what we are going to do. Jobs down here (and a lot more places than just here) are very few. Mike and I know we need to make some changes. So we will see how things turn out in the next couple of weeks.
Any other news well I was on the committee to help with Parowan's annual Birthday Ball this year. The town celebrates Parowan's birthday which is the 13th. They have this big thing during school with all the kids and then they also have a ball or more like dance. I have never been to one in the 4 years I've lived here so it was fun to go and see what they do. I, along with 6 others, had to decorate a booth with the theme "Now and Then". I had a lot of fun with it. Anyway the whole thing turned out great!!
