Becoming a daddy's girl?!!!

We came up with this sort of punishment for Brooke awhile back. Well it was supposed to be anyway. Brooke has a big problem with not listening to me, or minding. If I tell her to do something sometimes she will do it, but more often than not, she will do what she wants and ignore me. She listens to Mike pretty well, just not me. I was frustrated one day and went to see Mike with Brooke in tow. I was venting to him about all she was doing. When I left he made her stay with him. (luckily for her it wasn't too long before lunch so she only had to stay for over an hour).
Normally she likes being at the shop. But that day, Mike made her sit on a stool the whole time, she wasn't allowed off. For awhile she didn't want to do that again, so that was a great threat. However as time has worn on she is all up for going to the shop. She wants to go play. You can always find something new and different down there.
So (point of the story) one day Mike threatened her when he was home for lunch. She took it literal. When he left to go back and wouldn't take her she was devastated! By the time he got home that night, she was ready to go to work on the boat. (Mike and his friend Bo have been working on their boat trying to make it better, no leaking etc etc. in my garage) She talked non-stop about going out to work on the boat. She goes out everytime he works on it, to help. She puts on her pink "work" (aka gardening) gloves and heads out "to work on the boat with dad". It is so dang cute and I had to get a picture of them that night.

News

An update on us. Big news... for those of you who don't already know! We are expecting our newest addition to our family in August! We are so excited!! Mike and I have known basically from a few weeks along. This pregnancy has really kicked my butt! I have been extremely tired, nauseas a lot, ALWAYS hungry, and absolutely no energy whatsoever.  I am starting to feel better though. Which is good!
I have felt horrible because my house has been so filthy and I hadn't done much cooking. If I tried to clean something even as simple as sweeping the floor or wiping off the counters it would make my stomach hurt and wear me out completely. The last couple weeks I have been able to do more, which I think we all are glad for. lol! We will be finding out if it's a boy or girl in about a month.

Losing teeth... already?!

I have really been slacking.
About a month ago, Brooke lost her first tooth with the second one close behind. Or so we thought. It took her a long time to get the first one out, she just didn't want to wiggle it very much. Which I understand, it can be kinda scary in their little minds. Well the tooth started coming up behind, so we really started pushing her. She finally pulled it out.
A few weeks after the first one became loose the second one did also. So of course she has been babying this one too. Only more. It had been barely hanging in there for about 2 months. Finally she let her dad pull it out a couple days ago. YAY!!
But yes it makes me a little sad. My baby is growing up!
