Tagged....Who Am I

Its who I am ....
I am....so much more than I think I am
I Want....Brooke to have the best life possible
I Have....faith that everything I wish and hope for will one day be a reality
I Wish....a lot of things...to be home with my baby girl more
I Hate....politics and liars!
I Fear....dying before I feel I am ready to
I Hear....peace in the early mornings when Mike & Brooke are still asleep! (I treasure that time)
I Search....books, scriptures, and the ensign for help to my problems
I Wonder....where I'll be in these next five years
I Always....turn to my Heavenly Father... I couldn't be here without him
I Usually....try to think before I speak
I Am Not....always the most patient and kind person I strive to be
I Dance....with Brooke and whenever I decide to take the chance (not as much as I used to, sadly)
I Sing....A LOT! Mostly by myself and loud (it helps to sort of soothe me)
I Never....play enough with Brooke
I Rarely....relax by myself and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
I Cry....when I get angry (because my anger gets me nowhere so the waterworks start)
I am Not Always....as happy as i'd like myself to be
I Lose....my thoughts too much! I can never speak like I am thinking
I'm Confused....by a lot of things. My own emotions a lot of the time
I Need....to figure a few things out so I stop worrying
I Should....Worry/stress less, get off my butt and walk, and remember to enjoy every minute with those I love cause it could be a last!
I Dream....too much!! Of things I want for the future!

Brooke Lynn

So as I was talking with Nancy today about Brooke. I just felt an urge to post about her.
She has been a strength above all earthly strengths to me! She is so amazing and beautiful I can just stare at her for minutes totally mesmorized that she is my little girl! As much as her attitude and purposeful disobedience gets to me I can not love her any less or be so grateful that she is my daughter!

I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending her to me. He knew I needed her when I did even though I wasn't ready.

I am so grateful for everyone who is such a good influence for her and to me as a mother for her! I know I have drawn on all these things to help me and I pray that I will always be the best I can be for her!!!! I love my little Brookey!!!

Fall

So this is my absolute favorite time of year!! I love Fall! I love the trees when they turn colors. Seeing the mountains in the different shades. The beauty all around. And I love to decorate my house in leaves and pumpkins and orange!!!!! I love seeing snow on the ground too but there just isn't anything like fall!! And it seems to be working a little slower down here this year so I cannot wait for the leaves on our trees to start turning..... Man I just love it!!! I would really like to go to Logan to see the beauty there. I went through there this time of year a few years ago and loved it!!! The whole place was gorgeous all red, orange, and yellow with some green... I don't think I have ever seen a place so lit up by nature's beauty even the mountains up Gooseberry didn't compare to me. Brit and all you who live there... I envy you!!!

Anyway this was a very random post but I just thought about the fact that it is fall and had to post..

Thinking

The title says exactly what I've been doing. And I get told I do it TOO much, but at times like now when I am especially irritated, that's seems to be all I CAN do. So hopefully this all makes sense. And it might sound more like a journal entry so sorry its just my thoughts.

Okay so I've been wishing that I knew how certain thins in my life have turned out as I'm sure many people do. But I get so frustrated with things that i wish I knew how things will be in 2 years or 5 or whenever. Not that I think too much about the future like that. I've taught myself to worry about today only get through a day and get a glimpse of the weekend or next few days or month or whatever depending on what's going on. But I've learned that if I worry about too much of the future I stress and make myself sick without even really knowing it. And I LOATHE being sick.

Anyway as I've thought of wanting to know how some things in my life turn out in a few years I also thought that that would take away our (or rather my since it would only be me knowing) choosing right or wrong choices, or in other words freedom. And I know that wouldn't be right cause I would know the path I will be in or what I need to do to get there. But it could also lead to more disaster because I would be trying to lead it in that direction and worry or stress about things that wouldn't get me there. (I hope this is all making sense)So I've thought would I really really want to know? Would I really be prepared to handle everything I would see if such a thing were possible? I read so many different things to try and keep my perspective straight on all things in my life as well as to learn more, but the thing that really gets me thinking is my Patriarchal Blessing. Which in some ways I guess you could say it does tell you things of your future just not in full description. And maybe that is why it makes me think so much. I keep coming up with questions every time I read it, wondering who could answer them for me. And then I remind myself that I need to Trust in the Lord! He knows all things! He knows what's best for me and what I can handle and what I cannot! He can and will help me through anything and everything that I want or need help with! All my questions will in time be answered and I will know then why I needed to wait to hear them. I understand that and believe that whole heartedly! I only get frustrated and I need to remember that "Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride" and "He never said it would be easy, He only said it would be WORTH it!"

So at times like now, I try to remember to calm myself down and remind myself of everything I know and to Trust in the Lord for he knows ALL! That usually works if I keep those thoughts forefront in my mind. And so like now I feel at peace and I have successfully calmed myself down.... now only to keep me here.... lol!!!

Twighlight Series

Ok so I just wanted to say that I finished reading Breaking Dawn yesterday. I have had so many people ask me for quite awhile if I have read the Twighlight series and I hadn't even heard of it until the first person asked me. When they told me it was about vampires I was pretty sure then that I wouldn't read it. I wasn't ever really into Buffy the Vampire Slayer or anything like that so I didn't think I could really read a series of books on them. Well my mother-in-law decided to buy the first few books quite a few weeks ago. And after she read the first one she said I really should read it but I it went to her sister-in-law (and I was reading something different then too... so it worked out fine) well once Mary (the sister-in-law) was done and went on the second and I decided to give Twilight a chance. And as I started out I just read the fourth book so it shows how hooked I became once reading. And I was HOOKED! It was very different and refreshing and again very different. Twighlight is my favorite book but I also really liked Breaking Dawn. Anyway just wanted to say I've read them and they are awesome (I couldn't help getting 2 of them I was too impatient to wait my turn!!!)

New Puppies!!

We also now have 2 Australian sheperds (I guess its the closest thing Mike will let me have to an Alaskan Husky... J/K I really do like Australian Sheperd's) We were only going to get one but Mike really liked another one and so we ended up with 2.
This is Jax!! He's Michael's

This is Dusty!!! He's mine

Jax crawled up onto the console like thing where the cup holders, and gear shifts are and fell asleep draped across the camera, Mike's pepsi, and binoculars. He slid into this position curling around the pepsi after I moved the camera to take a picture of him.

Bruzer has been insanely jealous of these two new pupp's. I took a picture of him and his sadness (that and his mouching wasn't getting him anywhere, Dang dog refuses to eat his own food in hopes that we will feed him ours, he hadn't eaten his food in 2 days.... And we wonder why he won't get bigger!!!)

Update

Another little update... Mike still hasn't gotten a dear we went camping last weekend after another rodeo. We seen the one Mike wanted but he took off before Mike could even get off the 4 wheeler and he didn't find him. And the other times we've gone we haven't seen a buck! Kind of depressing but hey there's a reason right?! So the rodeo.... Cedar City hosts a Stampede Rodeo every year and this year (it might be every year I don't know we've never gone before) they had Budweiser's Clydesdale's and wagon. We all really wanted to see them so we went (they also have a parade Saturday morn with them in it and another rodeo Sat night... but we were on the mtn). And here is a pic of them (Man they are beautiful!!!)

Camping Pics.....(Not many this time)

Brooke "fishing"

I love cooking in the moutains but for some reason Mike always ends up doing most of it. I prepare and he cooks.. Not that I'm really complaining!!! It's just odd cause he'd rather not at home....

County Fair

So I thought I would entertain you with pictures of the fair. My family ended up coming down to go to the fair and rodeo again with us. Brooke really enjoyed having them come. They stayed the night and left after a lunch/dinner Sunday afternoon. We all had fun with them here. The fair was fun as usual however I have to admit Friday night had the best rodeo rides. More people actually rode on the bareback, saddle bronc, and bulls. Saturday it rained and the arena was very muddy. Then Monday so many people ended up getting hurt not too seriously but I guess there was also a horse in the races they had to put down. And the bulls seemed to want revenge too, about 90% it seemed went back after their riders once they got them off their backs, luckily nobody was seriously injured!

So we convinced my mom to go on the Ferris Wheel with Sena. We thought she would be fine, apparently she wasn't (my mom is like deathly afraid of heights) I couldn't help but laugh and take pictures... It's the first time I think I've ever seen my mom on a ride beyond the sky lift at Lagoon that takes you from one side of the park to the other. Sorry mom couldn't help but laugh!

I was loving this. I convinced Mike to go with Brooke on the Miral-go-round and he even smiled for the camera instead of being dorky!! I was so excited!!

The Rodeo!!

Oh yeah and with the rodeo's Brooks has had a blast! She watches these "princesses" as she calls them. Every time she sees one. Whether it was Miss Iron County or Miss Iron County Rodeo even down to the little miss's. When we were helping Dana and Lloyd with the dinner on Sunday both sets were there and she had to talk to each one. She even brought in her boots cowgirl boots to show them (she was wearing shorts and sandals but her boots were in the truck). it was so cute!! And since then they are known as her "princess friends". Oh and she has got the rodeo wave down. She would wave to us on the rides with the rodeo wave. It was so dang cute and funny!!!! Gotta love kids! I hope everyone had a great long weekend or at least a good one!
