Adventure, Fun, and Devastation!!

So we went camping this weekend and had a lot of fun and then Sunday heading back we were hit with some devastation! We went for a couple 4 wheeler rides and hiked, seen the beautiful view of the valley where Parowan, Paragonah, and Summit all sit (the view expands for miles), made some really yummy food played games, Brooke hurt her arm when she fell out of her bed bunk Friday night, Mike and I both fell down the stairs when we went to go to her. I really fell (I went from the top to the bottom missing the two steps) he just kinda skid off the last step. I tried taking one of the controls with me and during the hike Mike cut himself on a piece of shell that he broke. Selena was the only one who didn't end up hurt during the whole trip. Bruzer (the Boston Terrier)cut his back paws on some broken glass up there (it was only small scrapes not really deep but he tried chewing off his foot on the one it was kinda hilarious) and Rusty (the blondish Red Hound/lab whatever she was) didn't make it back home with us yesterday.
On our way home Rusty was in the back of the truck (she's too big now to ride in the cab) She decided she was going to jump and Mike seen in the side mirror just in time (or we thought anyway) to swerve so we didn't run her over. Afterwards we were wondering if she did get run over afterall even though it didn't really look like it. At first she appeared fine she got up and walked off the road but when we went over to her she had broken her leg as well as her hip. And she looked so sad. I felt so bad. We had two options spend lots of money trying to fix her or put her out of her misery. And I literally mean misery. Mike and I both knew there was something wrong with her all this time but we weren't sure what. And not only did we not have the money to put her through more torture but there is a likely that she wouldn't survive it so we did the best option for her. I just told Mike I couldn't watch and went back to the truck. So he kindly did it. Afterwards I asked him how he could and he responded saying that you just have to close your eyes once you aim and hope that you hit the right spot. And then he felt sick. Poor man. But I am so grateful I have him. That is something that I can't do, it hurts too bad. I felt so horrible I just cried all the way to Parowan. (Which isn't too long our camp site was only 15 min from town and this happened just a few minutes from camp) Sena was crying and Brooke for some reason thinks when I cry I am mad. So she kept asking if I was mad and Mike and I had to keep explaining that Rusty had gone to heaven that she jumped out and died. (Trying to protect her from the shooting part or she'll start thinking its ok to shoot dogs) I know to some this may sound cruel but honestly it was the best thing for her. So our camping trip was ended with devastation, but I am grateful that Rusty was able to have such adventure before she went. She had so much fun running along with the 4 wheeler and riding it and hiking up and down the hill and just in general camping. But we sure will miss her!!! Her short time with our family has been so fun and Bruzer is already missing her. He's now seeing things outside and starts barking up a storm. Just the last few days he acts all vicious out of nowhere. Poor dog. But Mike is already planning on replacing Rusty for me we'll see how well that works. Anyway I hope you all had as much/more fun as us (just not the death part). I'll add pictures of Rusty and our camping trip.
